I used to be really overweight when I was 15, but I lost all my weight by just watching what I ate! It's amazing how many unwanted calories you consume each day without even realizing it!. You just have to find out what the daily caloric needs are for your height and weight!.

Your daily caloric needs is the number of calories you need to be eating to MAINTAIN your current weight!. So if you eat that many calories, you'll remain 140lbs!. Once you've found out how many calories you need to be consuming each day to maintain your current weight, reduce it by 500 - and that would give you the number of calories you need to be eating in order to lose weight!. This is a slow process - but it's also a sure way to lose weight!. When I first started cutting down on what I ate, I lost about 2lbs per week - if you lose more than 2lbs per week, it starts getting unhealthy!. Be patient and you'll get there!. Don't call it dieting - call it a lifestyle change and make eating healthy a part of your life!.

You've got plenty of time! You didn't say how tall you are--it could be your weight is just right for your height!.

A safe, easy way to slim down is to fit in some sort of cardio exercise (running, swimming, etc!.) every day!. Drink one glass of grapefruit juice or eat a grapefruit every day--I don't know why it works, but it does! It has something to do with insulin levels!. Avoid any refined sugar (go for whole grain vs!. white bread) and skip ALL sodas, including diet ones, because they make you bloat and appear to be heavier than you are!. I replaced soda with unsweetened tea and herbal teas!. Those three things alone will shave off 5 lbs!. in a week, especially if you carry a lot of water weight!.
