What is the chance of having to have your ovaries removed with andomyosis?!

Question: What is the chance of having to have your ovaries removed with andomyosis!?
After over 15 years of suffering with heavy and eventually very painful period each month, last year I was diagnosed as having andomyosis!? I am 53 and I have been offered the option of having a hysterectomy via keyhole surgery!. I have been told that my ovaries will not be removed, yet I keep reading about others and even come across two people who have had to have their ovaries removed!. Apart from already being afraid of surgery and hospital, I am concerned that I may have a hysterectomy but then find I continue to suffer and will need to go back to hospital to have my ovaries removed or other!. My other option, of course, is to keep suffering each month (the pain is more severe than labour pain and for at least two days I am in agony with my period lasting over seven days) in the hope that at my age before too long nature will take its course and the problem will go away!. I have been prescribed Tranexamic Acid tablets to reduce the bleeding!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Since you are 53, you could just wait another year or so to start menopause!. With that said, I know how hard it is to have to go through these things and just wait!. I'm only 23 and for well over a year have had terrible pelvic pain and bleeding almost 24/7!. I have been suspected of having endometriosis and adenomyosis as well, but the docs haven't found anything yet!. It might be worth it to wait just a little bit longer since you are very likely to start menopause soon!. I know this is a very tough decision and I wish you luck in making it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If they remove you ovaries, you will need to go on hormones pills!. Maybe that is why they are leaving them!. I had one last year, but left my ovaries and I do cramp once a month during ovulation time!. It not real pain like before!. Good luck with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
