Question: Tampon and Period Help!?
Ok so I am on my first period ever!. I am 13 years old!. Today is the last day and my mom wants to go and get me Tampons to practice for when I go to the lake!. Would it be bad that I am not that wet down there or will it not go in as easily!? Also, Any tips would be great!Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it is the last day of your cycle, and it is light it may be a little more uncomfortable than usual!. However they now make slimfits, lites and teen tampons that should be better suited for you!.

If you still have a heavy flow, then practice today but if it's really light or non-existent then forget it and do it at your next period!. When there's no blood, it's very dry and it will be uncomortable, hurt and will be very difficult to get the tampon out with out it being painful!. It does not hurt when you have a decent blood flow, this is when you should practice!. You may have to go through a few tampons before you get the hang of it!. I suggest buying the tampax combo paks that come with the different sizes, try using the light purple ones first - they are skinnier and easier to work with at first!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
