Question: What's your personal experiences with a tubal ligation (tying tubes)!?
I go Friday to get my tubes tied!. We just had our 3rd child 7 weeks ago and I've made my decision to do this!. I have searched the internet, but I would just like to know your experiences!. How long was the pain!? Did you have any problems!? Any info will help!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Experiences with tubal ligation can certainly vary!. My tubes were clipped almost 17 years ago!. I was 30 and had had my first child!. I wanted only one child!. I do not regret my decision!.
During the procedure, your abdomen will probably be inflated with a gas so the surgeon can visualize your ovaries!. Sometimes this gas can "get into" your surrounding tissues and muscles and cause stiffness and pain the next day!. This happened to me; I woke up the next morning feeling as if my entire body had tetanus!.
Some women may experience a condition called Post-Tubal-Ligation Syndrome!. There's much debate about whether this condition actually exists, but it's believed that interfering with the fallopian tubes can also interfere with the normal blood circulation in that area and can cause problems!.

I had mine done about 3 yrs ago!. This was the first surgery I've ever had, when I came out of surgery I felt nausea's, it lasted about 2 hours after, the pain you feel after is like cramps!. They make a small incision under your belly button and one at your hairline, the one on your belly button seems to hurt worse!. They will give you a pain med, but just try to take it easy if possible with 3 children, and 1 being a baby!. If I had to do it again I would, so good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I HAD MY TUBES TIED AFTER MY FOURTH BABY WAS BORN AND I REGRET THAT!. ONE BECAUSE I WANTED ANOTHER BABY AND TWO MY CYCLES ARE TWICE AS HEAVY AND LONGER THEN THEY WERE BEFORE!. SO PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE GIVEN THIS DECISION ALOT OF THOUGHT,BECAUSE YOU MIGHT REGRET IT LATERWww@Answer-Health@Com
