Question: How did you tell your Mom or Dad!?!?
Ok so I am comfortable with my parents but not really in the way of talking periods and sex and stuff!. So i started my period like an hour ago and will wait til the morning or how ever long it takes me to tell them!. Any advice on how to do it!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've never had an open relationship with my mother in regard to taboo matters, and I didn't know anything about menstruation until the day it happened to me!.
I was frightened, but also surprised because I didn't feel any pain!.
In the meantime, my mother realized by my blood-stained underwear that I had got my period!.
She didn't make any comments, and she just bought me pads!.

You should probably tell them as soon as possible because the longer you put it off the less likely it is that you will tell them!. I suggest just telling your mom first because your dad will freak out!. Needless to say your mom will tell your dad afterwards!. When I got my period I just told my mom that I had gone to the bathroom and that I had my period and could she give me some pads!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I remember when I started and I didn't know how to tell my mother, but then we were at the store and she asked me if we needed anything else, and I was like "Ya tampons!." She said "I don't use those!." I said, "No, but I do!."

Well i told my mom "mom i think i need a pad cause im bleeding" i had to because i didnt have any pads and well my dad i was like " daddy i need money to go to the store for woman stuff" it was fairly easy for me!.!.!. wow that was 13 years ago!.
I suggest you go to the bathroom and get a pad or pantyliner if none are at hand get some toilet paper!. If i were you i'd tell your mom first, she's a woman and probably knows how you are feeling, its not a big deal believe me, just be like "mom i think i started my period"!.!.!. plus they will probably spoil you a bit!. Well i totally understand what u are saying, and parents can be over protective and even embarrassing at times!. But at time like this you should go to which ever parent you feel comfortable with (i recommend you mother cause im sure she's been through what you are going through right now) So just pick whoever you want drag them in a room alone or wait until they are alone and just tell them how embarrassed you are to tell them this and take a deep breath and tell them that its your time of the month!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I got my period in FORTH GRADE!. !. !. So i was kinda freaked out, and didn't mention it for a few months!. Then one day at Winn Dixie I told my mom and she bought me pads ,lol!.
It's not like your mom will be shocked, or even really care that much!.!.!. Just let it flow however YOU feel comfortable, and there's NO REASON to tell your dad if you dont want to!. I sure as hell never did lol!.

i am so close to my mum she is like my best friend, i started one day whilst i was at school! how fantastic, not lol
i just came home and said mum i have started my period and she got a bit teary as i am her eldest daughter and her baby lol
but we went to the shops and got some tablets and pads and tht was that lol

just tell her i think if you told your dad hed be freaked out haha!. "mom im a woman now!" hahaha orrrrr "soooo yeahhhhhhh i got my period!.!.!.!.wanna go to the store and by some pads with meee!?" Your mom is the best person to tell about it, dont be embarassed, she's been that situation too!. You'll be surprise that she might be too excited about it!. It's nothing to be afraid and shame of, it's normal!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Just say "Mom can I speak to you alone" she will guess it fairly quickly!. She's your mom and she's been there, she will probably give you a hug, and sort out some pads and whatever you need!.
