Question: Is it a yeast infection!?
i think i have a yeast infection!. just yesterday i felt something down there and i looked at it and on one said of my vulva is swollen so bad bad it didnt hurt it just burned a lil and when i pee it dont burn only when the pee hits the red swollen part it wen down a lil since i put meds on it i think and it is swollen from top to bottom my mom said it could be a yeast infection can someone please help me it just came yesterday out the blueWww@Answer-Health@Com

It is probably yeast on the outside of your vagina!. I get that, especially around my period time!. By some yeast infection cream and put it on the outside!. If that doesn't work, call your OB-GYN and ask him to prescribe something!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It could be a number of things, possibly a yeast infection, bacterial vaginosis, or an STI!. A yeast infection and bacterial vaginosis (BV) have similar symptoms:
Yeast infection
- burning, redness, swollen vaginal tissue
-possible pain when urinating
-possible pain or discomfort during sex
-thick white discharge that looks like cottage cheese
-usually does not have a foul odor
Bacterial Vaginosis (BV)
-abnormal vaginal discharge with unpleasant odor (fishy odor more noticeable after sex)
-discharge, if present that is gray or white
-burning when urinating
-itching around the outside of vagina
Since there is much overlap of symptoms of the two, it's important you be seen by an MD to find out what it is!. Many women immediately treat with an over the counter yeast medication, with out knowing what's going on!. This results in recurrent infections from improper treatment!. Once you get a proper diagnosis you will be able to better tell which infection you may have in the future, without having to go in to your MD!.

it doesn't really matter if it came from out of the blue!.!.!.!. If your discharge is lumpy and foul smelling- that's another sign of a yeast infection then yes, you have yeast infection!. Even if you aren't sure!.!.!. you should go to the doctor's!. Yeast infection only gets worse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

symtpoms are thick white discharge, pain when having sex and pain when passing urine, itching, swollen vulva!.
