ok my friends girlfriends mom doesnt want them to have sex!. but his girlfriends mom gave her a ring, and told her that when she had sex to take the ring off and hand it to her, but she doesnt want her to have sex though lol!.!.!.
But they had sex, and his girlfriend doesnt know if she should hand her the ring or not, because even though she gave her the ring and told her to give it back when she had sex she also said she didnt want her to!.
my friend told her not too he thinks that it is a bad idea and thinks they wont be able to see eachother and they have been together for a year!.!.!. so, i thought it was kind of an odd situation so i thought i would ask u all!.

of course the mother doesnt WANT her daughter to have sex, no parent is comfortable with their teen having sex!. but i'm sure she knows that teens will be teens, and there would be no way for her to stop them!. i would have the girl talk to her mom and say that shes thinking about having sex, to see what her mom's reaction is!. if her mom doesn't freak out, in a couple of days, i would give the ring back!. i would explain to my mom also that this is MY decision, and i feel that i'm mature enough to make it!. i know the risks involved, and i'm taking precautions to try and prevent those risks!. the mother will appreciate the girl being so mature, and will hopefully realize that she is mature enough to be having sex!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well no mother wants to know there child that they raised is having sex!. maybe its just her way of knowing without them really dicussing it and maybe she did that so she can take her daughter to get on birth control!. maybe its so the daughter wont feel as akward giving the mother the ring as then saying hey mom i had sex can we get some birth control!. its really hard to say why the mother even did it!. i personally wouldnt have gave my mom the ring but just let her know she needs to be careful!. theres nothing like being a single mom at 18!. trust me i know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
16 is very young!. There is a lot involved in having sex that people that age can't even begin to comprehend!. When I was 13 my mom gave me a ring in the same way!. When I was 18 I had sex for the first time and now more than 4 years later is the first my mom and I have ever spoken of it and we have had a terrible relationship due mainly to the fact that I couldn't trust her enough to talk to her about it in the beginning!. I don't know what her mom is like, but if she is anything like my mom then I don't blame her for not wanting to give her the ring!.
The thing she needs to think about though is that she is 16 years old!. She is SO young! She is not a tramp or a "skank"!. BUT there will be a lot of guys that she will meet, she will only ever have one mother!. And the relationship with her is more important than anything!. I would tell her to try very hard to get some courage and have a mature talk with her mom!. Yes, she might tell her that she can't see the boy I think most mothers would do that if their daughter was 16!. But I think her mom would handle it much better hearing it now than having a daughter lie to her!.
