help me!. my mom scheduled a cruise so that we could go scuba diving, she scheduled it a year ago, and now the cruise is a week away, but i'm going to be on my period during the cruise, and i have to get in the water with sharks!!! i can't put a tampon in!.!.!. it hurts, sort of, and i can't get it in all the way!.maybe i'm putting it in the wrong place!. i've tried the ones that are skinny, and the ones with apllicaters, and i've tried reading the directions, i'm 14 and i've been trying for a year!. i usually just wear pads, but u can't underwater!!! i can't just not go in the water, thats the whole reason why we're going on the cruise

I recommend playtex gentle glide-normal!. "gentle glide" really does desribe it well!. When you insert it make sure that where the finger grip thing is is at your opening, almost so your fingers are touching it, before "pushing the plug" lol!.!.anyway that way you'll know it's all the way in!. Don't be afraid to put it in further than you normally do!.!.it won't get lost or anything!! You've always got that string to remind you that it's just a tug away!. OK to this day i still cannot use a cardboard applicator, and i am 20 but my first time i was so scared i was at camp and was not about to ask for help i read the directions in the box and did it i was so proud!. try a pearl by Tampax or the Tampax sport!. they are very easy!. they are smooth and shouldn't hurt!. if it does try some lube on the applicator!. don't be afraid of the applicator it wont claw out your insides ( you will see what i mean if you get the pearl) ask your mom for advice!. have fun on your trip!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
if you've been trying for a year, it's unlikely you'll be able to get it in this time, but what you'll have to do in this kinda situation is !.!. ask your mom, sister, or other female relative to show you or help you as much as possible!.!.

yeah u should prob get it wet then put it in! you have to RELAX while your doing it, just think " relax, happy dreams, love, bf, bff" just happy thoughts, i think you in a mix of you being scared and mentally stopping it, and putting it in the wrong place, dont be so scared it willl workWww@Answer-Health@Com
Just follow the box manual carefully!.You might be able to find instructions online too!. I think I've been using tampons since was 12 yrs!. You will not break your hymen!. Use the ones with plastic applicators they will glide better, Cardboard applicators aren't good for starters!. Make sure you change them regularly and especially when you go to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i recommend plastic applicators!. get regulars for the first time, try a multi pack!. try sitting down to put them in!. if that's too uncomfortable, but one foot on the toilet, or counter, or whatever!. i always had pain when i first started using them too, but as time went on, i was fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this isn't that uncommon, like everyone has said just relax!. get the SPORT tampond they are so comfortable!. im not kidding!! and just push it in farther than u normaly do!. thats prolly ur problem your just not pushing it in!. and it might hurt a little since your 14, but it's worth it if ur going on a cruise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I never had any luck either!. I guess it's too late to go on the pill!. that's what I did and skipped periods if I needed to altogether by not taking the sugar pills and continuing on with the next cycle!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
ask your mom to buy you some lube to make it less dry so when you insert it, it doesnt hurt!. or try putting some lotion on the tampon itself!. that always helped me!. good luck =]!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is wierd that i know but its because of your hymen, its like a seal that breaks either when inserting a tampon or having sex!. its very sensitive and yours hasn't broke yet!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
