wow, your mom's never used a tampon!? its natural to be scared putting something in there!. just relax, i know this sounds weird, but a helpful tip: put it in on an upward angle toward the top of your butt!. look on the back of the box of the tampons - it usually shows you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

That totaly happened to me the first time I tried using them, I was like 12, and it's totaly normal!. The easiest time to insert a tampon is during the heaviest part of your period!. Practice with light ones, if they are comfortable, use them!. Wear a liner in your underwear until you can figure out what absorbency to use during different times of your period!. If there is a lot of leakage in a short time, move up to the next absorbancy, until there is minimal leakage!. Remember to remove them at least ever 6-8 hours and never leave a tampon in overnight!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Be CAREFUL when it comes to sizes!. If you have to big of a tampon, you can hurt yourself!. Try using a junior or regular tampon!. I tried a Super Plus the first time because I thought my flow was heavy, but my body could not handle it and I was in a lot of pain!. Also, I find that a plastic applicator is a lot better than cardboard because it just goes in easier!. Read the directions that are given to you in the box!. Hope this helps!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Its okay!. Ive gotten a few tampon stuck befroe!. Lol
However to get the tampon in better try sitting on the toilet and it should go in better and comftorably, if you feel uncomftorable when it is in then it should be pulled out!. Casue you really shouldn't be able to even feel it in there when its in!. Its all natural though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There are directions that come in the package!. It can't get stuck, but if it's dry (cuz not much blood went on it yet) it can be a bit harder to pull out and hurt a bit!. So practice a bit until you can get it in correctly, then leave it in until you are ready to change it!. (2-4 hours later for medium flow, 1-2 hours later for heavy flow, 4-6 hours for light flow!.)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It really depends on how long you had it in there!. Keep it in for 5-8 hours and the blood should work as a sort of lubricant when you take it out!. Be sure that you only wear tampons when your on your period because, as you know by now, they can be difficult to take out when they're dry!. Next time you but tampons get Tampax Pearl with the Plastic Applicator!. They go in and out much more smoothly than most tampons!.
Good Luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
