Question: Question for girls: Rather get PAP test from male or female doctor!?!?
GIRLS ONLY! Would you rather get a PAP test from a female doctor or male doctor!. I am 13 years old and I should be getting my first PAP test really soon!. I am not sure if I want to have a Male Doctor doing the procedure or a female one!. I think I would be more comfortable with a female doing it, because knowing that the male one is looking "there" makes me shiver! Well, I haven't had one yet so all females, please tell me your opinions and experiences! Thanks alot!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Thank you for reminding me I need to schedual mine!. =P I've had male and female doctors, and felt just as uncomfortable with both!. xD It just takes some getting used to!. They see hundreds of vaginas a year, it's nothing to them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Though I question why you are having a PAP at 13!. Are you having problems with your period or have you been sexually active!? If not, there is no need for one at your age!.
I can tell you from experience I have both a male and female gynecologist and I found no difference between the two!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You might feel more comfortable with a female doctor!. But female doctors tend to be more "aggressive" if that makes sense!. A male doctor would be more gentle because he doesn't know how sensitive you are!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I feel the same way you do about a Male doc!. That is way I go to a Female doc!. I am 28 and have used both and prefer a Female, she knows exactly what you are feeling because she has it too!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
