This girl is probably about 12 or 13 and you are telling her to "screw her mom" and that it's not her mom's choice or she should go behind her mother's back!? That's terrible advice to a young lady!. It's also not helpful at all when she asked a question about pads!.

Learning to wear a pad mostly just takes some time and getting used to!. Practice placing it in different parts of your underwear, it might not be centered just right!. Girls have different shapes and what is says on the box might not be the best fit for you!. Try different spots!.

Also, make sure you are getting pads that are long enough and thick enough!. There is a huge variety out there to try and some will be more comfortable and absorbant than others!.

- Panty Liner - Designed to absorb light menstrual flow, "spotting", or as a backup for tampon use!.

- Ultra-thin - A very compact (thin) pad, which may be as absorbent as a Regular or Maxi/Super pad but with less bulk!.

- Regular - A middle range absorbency pad!.

- Maxi / Super - A larger absorbency pad, useful for the start of your period when menstruation is often heaviest!.

- Night - A longer pad to allow for more protection while the wearer is lying down, with an absorbency suitable for overnight use!.

If you can't get ahold of some overnight ones, try doubling up and using two of whatever you have, one for front and one for back, when you sleep!.

Finally, if you are interested in using tampons, print out some information on their use and safety and have a respectful but informed talk with your mom!. Tell her your concerns about pads, and tell her that you understand her concerns about tampons too and show her that you got information about their safety!. Or ask her to talk to your doctor about them with you!. She might change her mind if you have a good discussion with her!. If not, hang in there with the pads and probably in a year or so she will leave the decision more in your hands as you become more adult!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, I'm really sorry that you feel this way!. Also, it shouldn't really be your Mom's decision if you wear inserts or not, that should be your choice!. Tampon's are not dangerous at all, if you change them often!. Also, you can get different types of tampon to accommodate different flows i!.e!. if you wanted to put one in overnight so that this leakage does not happen, you simply purchase a 'heavy flow' tampon!.
If you do want to wear pads, then I suggest wearing a heavier pad at night - night time pads!. Also, have you tried the 'with wings' variety!? They are more comfortable and absorb more!.
Try a couple different varieties and you should find one that suits you best!.

Good luck, and don't worry, you're not the only one!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try using extra long and extra absorbancy pads!. This way it covers all of your underwear and is able to withstand a heavy flow!. There are also overnight pads that are very thick so that nothing leaks!. As for the rubbing, you might not be putting the pad in the right spot on your undies!. The wings should be able to fold underneath without a problem!. Have your mom show you how to do it the right way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Beg your mom for tampons!.!.!.!.or buy them behind her back if she doesn't let you! When you wear a tampon you don't feel it dripping, they're like a million times better than pads! Tampons aren't dangerous, I wouldn't be able to live without them!. If you need an excuse to use tampons, say you want to go swimming, because you can swim with tampons, but never ever swim in pads! Hope this helps! =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

say screw you mom and wear a tampon!. its your choice after all!. and they aren't dangerous as long as you change every 5 hours!. good luck sweetieWww@Answer-Health@Com
