Answers:
Your doctor or nurse will check that you are ok to have the implant i!.e!. not unwell in any other way!.

They will ask you to lie down with the arm you are having it put in with its elbow bent and your hand near your head!. (as if you were lifting something!.

The implant goes in the groove between the muscles on the inside of your upper arm!. Firstly you will have a local anaesthetic injection to the area!. Local anaesthetic stings, this is the worst bit!. You are then left for 5 mins for it to go numb

The implant is then introduced to the groove with a bigger needle, you won't feel this though as it will have gone numb!.

You will then have a tight bandage put on the arm!. As the anaesthetic wears of after a few hours it will feel like you've been punched in the arm and you will proably get a little bruising!. Try to take it easy for a few days, just as ou would if you'd had any knock to the arm!.

Don't worry, I've seen loads of people have them put it and they all say that it is no where near as bad as they were expecting!. Most think it was quite easy actually!.

Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

It doesn't take long to put in at all!. The bit that actually hurts the most is when they inject the local anaesthetic!
You will have a dressing on the site for about 2 days!. I didn't have any pain after the local anaesthetic had worn off but I did have a huge bruise!
A few weeks after I had the implanon inserted the area went very red and itchy but that has calmed now and feels fine!.
Its really not bad at all having it put in!. Sounds worse than it is!.
Ask plenty of questions at the appointment about what to expect from implanon etc!. Its always good to be well informed!. The best thing about it is that it works still even when you are taking antibiotics, have vomiting or diahorrea!.
Good luck with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

The appointment will take roughly 30 mins!.
They put it in using a serile hollow needle, its not really sore, u can feel it being inserted its mabe a tad uncomfortable but not sore!.
I couldnt really use my arm much the day mine went in, other than that no its ok, nothing to drastic tbh!.
N again no its not really sore!
Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Funnily enough my wife is due hers out any time now!. Its a straightforward procedure, but don't knock it for about a month!. That really hurts or so i was told before my missus struck me round the head for doing so!.
Expect minor weight gain, no monthlies, etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
