Question: I found out recently that i have polycystic ovaries, does that mean i will be infertile!?
i am 24!. in the next couple of yrs i want to have children!. i would like to know if having polycystic ovaries would prevent me from conceivingWww@Answer-Health@Com

it can complicate it!. I have pcos and I required fertility treatments, My BF got pg 3 times with out help ( she also has PCOS), it depend on theseverity and timing!. Basically my dr sadi that the average woman has a 1 in 4 chance of getting pg each month, a woman with pcos has a 1 in 24 chance!. Talk to a dr!. reducing you sugar and carb intake can also help!. Losing weight will also increase your chances of becoming pg!. Some drs reccommend going on the birth control pill if you do not want to get pg right away!. The pill will keep the cyst from building up!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It will make it more difficult to become pregnant!. I have a friend who has this and it took a while to get preggers and dr told her to get pregnant before 30!. Not everyone is the same though!. Don't worry about it until you start trying!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It may be a possible problem, and you should talk with your doctors about possible fertility treatments when the time comes!.
