Question: Doctors help!?
So im going to the doctors to ask to go on the pill, is it as easy as that !? I get embarressed at questions & just wondering what he will ask !? thanks xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Putting someone on the pill consits of many things, I'll try to go through them briefly!.
The Dr will usually start asking why you want to go on the pill, most women simply say they are sexually active adn don't wish to have children yet!. The Dr should then work through trhe following:-
1) is it the right contraception for you!? would you be better off with a longer acting method like injection or implant
2)Making sure that youare safe to take the pill, in particular have no personal or family history of blood clots (like DVT's)!. No history of liver problem!. No history of breast cancer!. No history of migranes that cause visual changes!. Finally that the blood pressure is ok!.
3) Making sure you know how to take the pilll!. i!.e for 21 days starting with the first day of your next period and then a 7 day gap!. Making sure you know what to do if you miss a pill!. Ensureing you are aware how antibiotic or D&V can effect things!.
4) Discussing the benefits and risks of the pill!.
5) Enusring that you are aware that the pill prevents pregnancy but not STI's
You doctor is there to help make sure that the pill is ok for you and that you understand a little about it!. Like any other medication really!.

He will just check your blood pressure, look at your cycle lengths, and maybe take a blood test to asses your hormone levels ask you a few questions like how painful is your period how much would you say your bleeding on estimation!. Honestly my sweetie it is not that embarresing, ive been to doctors before to get put on pill and i worked myself up so much!. Take it from me do not worry it is not as bad as you think its going to be, and if your not comfortable with anything hes asking just tell him he will understand!. They will ask you if you are or plan to be sexually active!. Before getting on the pill you really should get a pelvic exam to make sure everything is in good working order, especially if you plan on having sex!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

1) You are thinking about becoming sexually active!.
2) That you want to be protected!.
He will understand the rest without any further explaination!.

It is easy to go on the pill!. I went on the pill at 15 due to heavy periods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
