Question: How old do you have to be to go on the pill without parents concent!?
In the UK!. Is it 16!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I think it can be any age!. If you go to a parental planning clinic like Brook (search it on Google for the website and one near you) you can get it from there!. All you do is go in and write down your name and what your there for!. They'll talk to you about what pill is best for you!. You can go back any time you want and you dont need your parents consent!. You can go there for most things, like the morning after pill, condoms or even just a talk about ANYTHING bothering you!.

I'm on the pill and i got it from there!. I'm sixteen!. My parents do not know and i've been going there anyway for around two years for other things!. Nothing is sent to your home or anything!.

However, if you go to the doctor i think you have to be 16, so its legal!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

In the Uk there isnt an age limit!. The doctor wilive you the pill if you request it because its everyones right to have it!. Although if you are younger than 16 they will probably ask you a few questions about how active you are sexually and give you some advice on STD's and safe sex because it is illegal to have sex under 16!. i would reccommend not having sex younger than this unless you are ready to face up to consequences such as pregnancy and disease!. You can still catch some STD's even if using a condom and the pill and a condom is not a 100% effective at stopping pregnancy!. Combined the two have a better chance of working against pregnancy but i know someone who has used both and gotton pregnant twice!.

I know people who were under 16 when they went to their doctor and were prescribed the pill for acne or really bad period pains!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

There is no strict answer on this, it is up to the doctor!. In the UK we have guidance on this as follows:-

"Gilick Competance"!. This realtes to a legal case many years ago about the mother of a girl called Victoria Gillick!. It's aim is that the doctor must believe that you have the ability to make a choice on your treatment!. This involes ensuring you are able to understand both the benfits and risks of taking treatment!. i!.e!. you can make a competant decision on your own!.

The second part of guidance is know as the "Fraser Guidlines" this ensures that
The Fraser Guidelines:
1 The young person understands the advice being given!.
2 The young person cannot be convinced to involve parents/carers or allow the medical practitioner to do so on their behalf!.
3!.It is likely that the young person will begin or continue having intercourse with or without treatment/contraception!.
4!.Unless he or she receives treatment/contraception their physical or mental health (or both) is likely to suffer!.
5!.The young person
