see when i have a pap smear it hurts me sooo bad, but it might be cuz i tence up alot!. so is colpocopy worse!?!? or do u think it will feel the same!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It feels exactly like a pap smear, they just look up there with a scope!. They use the same forceps and everything!. It takes a little longer than a pap, and if they do a biopsy of the cells, it feels like a little snip, it hurts a little, but your cervix does not have a lot of feeling in it!. I cramp a little bit afterwards for a few days and u will need some panti liners (NO tampons or sex for a week or two!) They use an iodine based solution, so you will have some orange discharge!. Girl, I have had to do this so much! One doc did this procedure every 4 months for 2 years!. Needless to say, I switched docs and my new doc said i only need to have it done now 1-2 times a year!. It really is not that bad!. Just try to relax, you will be ok! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
Why are you having a colposcopy!? Did you have an abnormal pap smear!? That is the only reason you'd be getting one!. It is not used in place of a pap smear!. I had one a few months ago, it is supposed to be uncomfortable - but I thought it hurt a little!. Tolerable pain, they are cutting out part of your cervix (small chunk-s-)!. my oldest sister had one, but she said hers was quite painful, which is not supposed to be normal!. They use the same speculum for the colposcopy as for the pap smear, but you get the extra added giant light shining on your privates with the doc down there with a special headset on to magnify what they are seeing and the stuff they use to cut what looks abnormal, if anything!. The white vinegar itself is not painful at all!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
