I work out when I'm on my period!. But instead of doing something vigorus, like running!. I do yoga!. You still get a work out!. But its much gentler and is great on streching and streghtening you mucles!. It also helps to relax!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I remember being told once by my pe teacher that working out would help my cramps (I had handed her in a letter from my mother asking me to be excused from PE due to cramps)
but my periods are rather heavy, even tho i'm now on birth control, so I'd feel really yuck working out tbh!. so if you're uncomfortable, I don't see whats wrong with not working out when it's that time of the month!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Now I'm older than you (40ish) and I had a hysterectomy, but when I had my cycle, I would only work out on my lighter days!. I would work out on days 3 to 5!. Now if you really need to go and get a good work out, take a painkiller (muscle relaxer) to help alleviate your pelvic area!. Honestly I think you should lay down and get some rest!. I had bad cramps and I used to vomit all day long!. It's up to you but missing a day isn't going to hurt you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Im always doing something to help reduce pain!. To me it seems like i need to exercise to help reduce pain!. Also it just depends solely on the woman herself!. Another thing is, when i dont excercise or do anythin it seems af if the pain justkeeps getting worse!.

When i have it i try to work out when i don't have anycramps, i usually just run and most of the time it really helps with the cramps and bloating!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
