There are other medications that you can take for severe cramps and the other discomforts associated with your period!. Birth control pills can have many side effects!. Your doctor is the best one to advise you on the options!.

As far as keeping this from your mother: she is most likely going to find the pills someday!. You will forget to hide them!. They will fall out of your bag!. etc!. Then it will look like you are secretly having sex, since you tried to hide them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well first, you should tell your mom your reasons and then take her to the doctor with you!. That way if your pain progresses or the birth control doesn't work, she can be involved in reaching a possible diagnosis in a problem or help in finding a solution!.

You can try looking up "Planned Parenthood" in the phone book but if you really do have a medical problem and pain associated with periods, I strongly suggest you tell your mother as it could be anything from PCOS to endometriosis!. If you get diagnosed with something concrete, then she will obviously understand your need for birth control!.

I suggest talking and being honest with your mom but if you KNOW beyond a shadow of a doubt she won't approve, Planned Parenthood will work!. But if she finds out you are taking them behind her back, she really REALLY won't believe that it is just for pain management!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you are under 18, talking to your mom is probably your best bet!. Your parents may have health insurance which can reduce the cost of the exam and hte medicine, with ours i only spend 7 dollars a month!.

IF you aren't willing to tell your mom try the free clinic or planned parenthood!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well if you are 18+, you can go to the doctors and prescribe b!.c!. pills without parents!. birth control pills DO have downfalls!. they make an unsteady menstral cycle, have effects on your body and not really recommended just b/c you dont want to have your period!. sadly, all girls have to have it in order to have babies one day!. i guess we just have to deal with it =(Www@Answer-Health@Com
