PCOS or something else....?!

Question: PCOS or something else!.!.!.!.!?
Now, I went to the doctor because I was having irregular periods!. I was bleeding one week and not the next for about 2 months!. So, they did a hormone level check!. My LH was 5!.3 and my FSH was 18!.6!. I guess the 18!.6 is post-menopausal!. I am only 17!. I had my son 10 months ago!. I am not having problems with facial hair, I am not obses, my hair is not falling out, nothing in the "risk catagory" fits me at all!.

The doctor thinks I have PCOS and I am getting an ultrasound tomorrow to find out!. But, does this sound like PCOS or something completely different!.

And if it is something different then, does anyone know what it could be!?

Thank You!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I don't know what you could have, but I experienced something similar to this!. I'm 16, and my period went from being normal, to coming every other month, to not coming at all!. My doctor also thought that I may have PCOS!. I never had any of the facial hair or other symptoms either!. She did a blood test, and found out that my hormones weren't in the correct ratio, but it wasn't extreme enough to be PCOS!. So it might end up just being an incorrect hormone level, but not PCOS!. I wish you luck at your ultrasound!Www@Answer-Health@Com

The symptoms of PCOS are:
Irregular or absent menstrual periods!.
Infertility!.
Weight gain!.
Abnormal growth of hair, especially on the face and trunk!.
Deepening of the voice and the development of other masculine characteristics!.
Acne!.
Male-pattern baldness!.

The only thing that fits you is the irregular periods!. Another cause of Menstrual irregularities, is benign growths such as uterine fibroids!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
