Question: Do girls get their periods around the same age as their mothers!?
i heard a rumor like that!.!.!.!. but most of my friends started at different ages!.!.!.!.!. i also heard another rumor that friends who are close to each other can even start their periods around the same time!.!.!.!.!.!.i have no clue!.!.!.!.!.HELP ME FACE THE REAL FACTS!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It just so happened i started around the same time as my mom, a year earlier actually i think!.!.!. I was 12!. she was 13 i think!.
and when a lot of women hang around a lot of the time, their hormones tend to get in sync!. and the periods tend to happen around the same time!. for example, your mom and you, if you live with each other your period won't be far away from hers normally!.

Well, the mom thing isn't necessarily true, or at least it wasn't for me!. My mom got hers @ 16 (she was a late bloomer), but I got mine @ 13!. And it's true that if you live with other girls (like in college), your cycles start to regulate so that you get pds around the same time each month, but it's not true that your first period will come at the same time as a friend you're close to!. Every girl develops at her own rate, so you can't expect your menstrual cycle to be in sync with your friend's when you're first starting out!. That only happens with older roommates that are all the way through puberty (college like I said before)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It all depends on genetics, if your mom got her period at the same age as her mom and her sister (if she has one) then you might get it at the same time but everyone is different, like if your like way taller or way bigger or way different from your mom when she was your age but your exactly the same as your aunt, then you might get it the same time your she did, like I said everyone is different and everyone grows at a different pace!. just value the time you have left cuz after you get it you'll wish you never had itWww@Answer-Health@Com

That rumor that friends that are close get their periods at the same time is exactly that, just a rumor!. usually around the time that ur mom got it but if the women on ur dads side start rele early or rele late then theres a chance u might get those genes instead!.
