Question: Blood test question!.!?
are you not suppose to eat before getting a blood test!. My blood test i need to get is to see if i have enough iron or something!.

You are not supposed to eat before a blood test if you are having a glucose test (blood sugar) if it is a regular CBC, (standard test to check cell levels) which an Iron test would be, then food would not effect it!. It depends what the blood work is for, to check for ur iron, i think its ok if u eat, but for sugar test and to check for diabetes ur not allowed to eat, so just double check wit ur doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Check with the lab or doctor to be sure!. Sometimes fasting tests are needed for chemistry labs like sugar, cholesterol, etc!. Tests for anemia usually are not!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
