Question: Did getting Implanon hurt!? Could you resume normal activity and lifting right after!?
I am scheduled to get Implanon tomorrow afternoon!. I'm kinda nervous since it has to go into the skin and its kinda big! Do they numb your arm all!? Can you still do stuff afterwards!?
I have an 8 month old daughter!.!.!. its just a local skin numbing, right!? My arm muscles will be fine!? Can I still lift her tomorrow!?
Did you have any pain after insertion!? Swelling or bleeding!?

I had implanon inserted a year ago!. The doctor injects the area with a local anaesthetic and then you wait a few minutes for the numbing to start!. This needle just feels like a normal injection needle!.
Once you're numb, the doctor will then insert the implanon - you shouldn't feel this one at all!.
My doctor bandaged my arm up afterwards and told me to keep it bandaged for a week - although I ended up having it bandaged for 2 weeks!. For me it got quite sore but my body doesn't have a great ability to heal, and everyone is different, so you might find that your arm is fine after a few days!.
I wouldn't suggest any lifting straight after getting it inserted, or for a few days afterwards !.!.!. but your doctor will advise what is best for you!.
In regards to swelling or bleeding !.!.!. there shouldn't be any bleeding at all, or swelling !.!.!. I didn't get either!.
Good luck! You will be fine :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
