Question: Are there anybody who has taken or currently on anxiety meds, and your friends and family!?
told you that you should be able to cope with life and not take anything!? I am an African American female, and my culture says that you should pray, and ask god to help you through the day!. I have even been told that anxiety meds are not a black person

Although I am not african american, yes, I have had friends who are african american preach to me about how anxiety meds are not going to help me!. It is a persons choice, but do I agree!? no, God wouldn't have given us the resources necessary to make the medication if he didn't want us to use it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't think meds have anything to do with anyones culture!. I am white and I always hear that praying is the best solution!. I believe most cultures believe prayer is the best answer!. I do take anxiety meds though, because praying doesnt always work!.!.!.no matter how much you want it to!. If you feel like you need to take meds, then you should not feel ashamed!. Apparently there is something going on in your life to make you feel this way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
