Question: I think she's about to start!.!.!.!.!?
My niece is 11 and she has been having a lot of signs that mean she's about to start her period!. She has been irritable, has cramps, has a the discharge in her underwear, and her breast are sore!. ( as she told me all of this) Also she does have to shave!. She's about to start 6th grade and she wants to be ready in case she gets it at school!. I was wondering if it sounds like she's about to start soon and if you have a prediction of when possibly it might happen!. Any help is appreciated! Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sure does, but every girl is different!. Here is what i was told when periods usually start:
2 years after some breast developement
Discharge for about a year
Look at the women in your family and see when they started
And so she is ready just explain to her what to do when it happens!. Be very supportive and when it does happen, help her learn all that good stuff!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

she could get it any time really!. It all depends!. Ask her when she first noticed the discharge coming in her underwear!. From that point, her period could come anywhere from 6-12 months after she first got the discharge!.
Just buy her some pads and tampons, and tell her to keep an extra pair of undies and pants in her locker at school!. (put them in a bag so no one will notice!. ) That way if it happens, and it bleeds through her clothes, she'll have clean stuff at hand to change into!. (:Www@Answer-Health@Com

She probably will start soon!.
I would say in the next month, but no one knows for sure!.
I had all those signs and I then I only had spotting for a day!.
Then 3 months later, I got my period full blown!.
Everyone is different, but she will probably start in the next month or so!.
Tell her to keep a small pouch in her purse with pads/tampons!. Thats what i do so no one can peek in my purse and see then plain in sight!.

a prediction!? you can't be serious!? why not hold a lottery, the one who guesses right wins the pot!? There is no way to tell you when it's going to start!.!.!.did you know when you were going to!? I doubt it!. At least your neice has the sense to think ahead and want to be prepared!. She simply needs to put a pair of panties and a sanitary napkin in a small baggie and carry it with her in a pocket or purse!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It all depends on her body; which no one can predict!. Tell her to wear a light pad to school; better to be safe than sorry!. she could just have the signs and not have her actual period!. It can take up to a year to regulate out a period!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
get a bag/box and put in pads, liners, tampons (maybe!?), feminine wipes, and all kinds of stuff that she'll need!. well, tell her mother to do that haha!. be cool about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It definatly sounds like she will get her period soon! For when she goes back to school i would get her a purse and put sum pantyliners in there just in case!

hello! i am 11 and also entering 6th grade and i just got mine the 17th of july!. i had most of those signs but my breast were not sore!. i could not stop crying when i first got mine because i thought i was too young, and only 1 of my other best friends has it!. i do think it will happen soon!. but i cant predict the future! so i don't have a prediction!. the day i got mine i had cramps, but they weren't that bad and the next time i went to the bathroom, i saw blood on my underwear and new what was happening!. she will be fine if she gets it and i wouldn't let her start using tampons yet!. i have just been using pads!. it was hard for me because i was going on my family vacation 2 days later so i couldnt go in the water!. mine lasted 7 days!.!.!.just to let you know!Www@Answer-Health@Com
