I had the implant put in about a month ago and am really happy with it!. Have not had any bleeding or side effects!. Just had some local irritation and itching where it was inserted but that has gone now!.
The great thing is that I don't have to remember to take a pill everyday and am protected even if I take antibiotics!.
I would recommend it!. It lasts for 3 years!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is a small rod, inserted under the skin, using a hypodermic-like introducer, that releases tiny amounts of progesterone!. It can remain in place for up to 5 years, after which it is removed through a small surgical incision!.
It was never high on my list of contraceptive options and I have to admit I spent much more time seeing women who were unhappy with it and wanted it removed, than any other form of contraception!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont know to much about it, but my little sister has one!. Its a small plastic rod type thing thats injected into the skin under your arm!. It gives you protection from pregnancy for up to three years and has no known side effects other than possible irregular bleeding!. My sister said when she had it put in she was given a local anesthetic!.!.!.which stung a little, then it was put in which she didnt feel!. Apperently to take it out they make a tiny incision and then just pop it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
