It is basically a sign that a girl has hit the main stage of puberty!. A period is when something inside basically opens so that eggs can make babies when having intercourse!. So once a month for about a week a girl has blood coming out of her!. it may sound gross to you but its a natural occurrence!. this is basically how you get pregnant!. but before a girl has their period they cannot get pregnant because the lining of her uterus hasn't opened!. hope that helped! sorry if i had to explain things that may sound gross to a boy!. blah blah,once a month between the ages of 9-17 a girl get's her period after she get's her period she can get pregnant before that she can't when she bleads from her vagina, she bleeds because she doesn't have the sperm and if she doesn't have the sperm she bleeds! get it!?
