What is good for cramps besides pills?!


Question: What is good for cramps besides pills!?
I don't like taking Advil and Aleve everyday when I have bad cramps - and they get pretty painful, I've been to the doctor about it, its mostly due to cysts, but is there anything else I can take that helps cramps!? I use a heat pad!.!.!.!. just not sure if theres anything else helpfulWww@Answer-Health@Com

I know you might not feel like moving when they're bad, but exercise of some sort does help, if you're able to get up and move around!. Even a brisk walk!. I find that with my bad cramps, the best thing for me is a moderate paced hour walk!. It gets the circulation flowing and of course exercise releases endorphins which help the pain!

Short of taking ibuprofen (like in Advil and Motrin), there's not much else aside from heat and either rest or exercise, depending on the individual!.

I know you don't like taking the pills everyday!. It can however be useful to take one Advil a day for two days leading up to your period, before cramps set in really badly, and then continue to just take them as needed during your period!. Aside from that it's prescription anti-inflammatories or painkillers, neither of which are great to be taking regularly :(

It's said that because caffeine dilates blood vessels, a cup of coffee or tea can help with cramps, but I've never found this to be much more than a myth myself!.

For me, the birth control pill has worked wonders and honestly given me a week of my life back every month :P But that's just me!. And again, that's a pill taking solution!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I used to get reallyy bad cramps and bleed really heavy , my gyno told me to take iron pills and it cleared it right up turns out i was anemic !. so u may try that !.If you can't find otc iron pills try otc prenatal pills they are high in iron!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hot water bottle, chocolate, massages, light exercise like sit ups and warm drinks!. I take it you're American, if you can find them, feminax tablets are wonderful for period pain!. :) Www@Answer-Health@Com

Having a nice hot bath and just relaxing

and doing someting fun or something to take your mind of them
