Question: Pads for period (women)!!!!!!!HELP!!!!!!!!!!
I started my period 3 months ago!.!.!.!.and i thot it was supposed to be abnormal!.!.!.!.!.!.!.i had my first one then my second one 2 months after and started being normal!. well anyways my questions is how often should i change my pads!.!.!.!. like how many times per day!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on how heavy your flow is!. Periods tend to be heavy the first few days, so it is not unusual to change 4 times a day in the beginning (morning, midday, late afternoon, bedtime)!. This might decrease to once or twice a day toward the end of your period!. If you find that you have to change every hour or two, then your flow would be considered extra heavy to excessive and you might want to consult a doctor if it continues to be that heavy!.

How often you change your pads will depend on what kind of pad you are wearing and how heavy your flow is!. I use Always Ultra Thin pads with wings, which are great because they're not bulky like maxi-pads!. I change my pads every 4-6 hours, but if the flow is very heavy, sometimes I'll change it more often!.

I am a CMA You change your pad on average every 3 to 4 hours!.!.!. If you soak a pad and you are changing like every hour than you should see a doctor!.!. So the answer to your question is 5 to 6 times a day!. Even if they do not have a lot of blood in them it is best to change them because they will begin to cause oder!.!. Well, it would depend on if your period this month is heavy, or light!.
If it is heavy (more bleeding) then change is more often then you would if it was light!. There is no certain times a day you should change it!. Just when ever you feel its time or to dirty

You don't have to switch them like on a specific time!. Just when you know that it's right, like whenever it's starting to feel very wet and uncomfortable!. That's the main reason why I use tampons!.
