I have a question about the pill. PLEASE!!

Question: I have a question about the pill!. PLEASE!
Okay, so I've never used the pill before, but I'm thinking I should use it for a few months simply because I can get pretty moody when I have my period!. My boyfriend and I have a long distance relationship and he's coming to see me at the end of september so I'd really rather not be feeling like a ***** while he's here!.
What pill will stop my period!?
How long before he come should I start taking it for it to work!?
What are some precautions that I should take!?
Anything warning that I should know about!?
I'm also kind of paranoid about vomiting!.!. will the pill make me throw up!?

Thanks, personal experience would be preferred but any tips or guidelines would be appreciated also!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have been on the pill for over two years now!. I think you need to think about this more!. I don't consider it something that you take for only a few months!. You should only consider it if you are going to have multiple partners (at the same time or one after another), want to regulate your period (the reason I started) or be ready to take it until you are ready to have children!. If you do decide to start, I think that you should have been taking the pill for at least a whole cycle, but I'm being cautious!. But the doctor will recommend to you that you should still use condoms as well as the pill!.

The Contraceptive Pill stops your ovulation but you can get withdrawal bleeds in place of periods!. The cycle is 3 x 7 hormone pills (3 weeks worth) then 7 sugar/placebo tablets (during which the withdrawal bleed takes place)!. It is possible to skip the sugar tablets and go straight to a new cycle but you need to consult your doctor about your choices!.

Anyway the "moodiness" and "PMS" depends on if you are like that naturally!. Before I was on the Pill I didn't really get moody and now I still don't!. The pill won't stop you getting stressed or moody!. I still tend to pig out more in the week before the withdrawal bleed, just like a normal period!.

Just like any medication, the side effects may vary!. Usually in the first cycle there can be cramping, nausea and a bit of spotting (like a very very light period)!. Sometimes you will get a bit of discharge once a cycle and sometimes you will all the aforementioned effects!. Usually the doctor will ask you to come back after a few months to check if you are okay with the type of pill they prescribed!. If you have ongoing side effects the doctor probably will prescribe a lower dosage!. The point is that it depends on how you react when you take it!.

Basically I think you should talk to the doctor and think long and hard about why you want to take the pill!. Honestly, if you only want to take it because you think it will stop your moodiness, then don't take it!. Go see a counselor, have a girls night out or eat chocolate if you don't want to be moody!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you definitely shouldn't stop your period!. unless you take that seasonelle stuff!.!.but i think you should try the patch!.!. it looks like a nicotine patch but its birth control that you change every week!.!. do you dont have to remember every day only every week so its more reliable!.!. if you forget to take a pill one day you may get pregnant!.!.

it takes about one week to be effective if you use it correctly

it shouldn't make you vomit eitherWww@Answer-Health@Com

I use microgynon 30 and if I don't want to get my period i just take 2 packs in a row!. It has no bad effects on your body!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
