Question: Can being on the menopause make one feel tired
for quite anumber of years I have felt very tired, some days absolutely washed out!. I had a blodd test three years ago and everything checked out alright apart from the fact I was on the menopause, but according to the nurse whom I went to see then she told me I had gone through the menopause!. However I have just been for another blood test about a fortnight ago, and again everything checks out alright apart from the fact that my iron count is a bit on the low side (not anaemic)!. I am taking one ferrous sulphate tablet a aday like I was advised to do!. When I mentioned to the doctor I saw that I was still getting very hot and flushed etc, she told me I was going through the menopause!. It`s funny because when I have been away on holiday it is a different sort of tiredness!. I have been looking on internet about the menopause and tiredness, so I will presume that`s why I am!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No two women go through the menopause the same, unfortunately I had to have a hysterectomy when I was 31 yrs old, and was informed that I would start the menopause earlier than normal!.As it happened I started the menopause when I was 43 yrs old, this hit with a vengance, mood swings, very hot embarressing flushes, night sweats, you name it, so the doctor put me on hormone replacement therapy tabs!. which helped very much, and made me feel much better, I was on them for ten years, because any longer is not advisable, but when I came off them, well, it was horrendous, back came all the symptons, only in doublefold, I was not informed that, the hormone replacement therapy only holds back the change of life,and represses the symptomso,nly to come back again when you cease taking the tabs!.So, unfortunatly you have but two choices, go for the replacement hormones, or let nature take its course naturally!.
