Is it possible that I am pregnant..?!

Question: Is it possible that I am pregnant!.!.!?
So I was on my period starting June 17 and on the 20 I had protected sex (condom) and I was bleeding still (not spotting because it was deep red)!. I didn't stay laying down right after and I continued to bleed for a few more days!. I completely skipped my period in July but I took a home pregnancy test around July 24 and it came back negative!. I don't know what to think, because I'm kind of cramping this week, my discharge is thick, and I feel bloated!. Maybe I haven't gotten it because I go to the gym every morning and run/work out!. Is there anything else I can do to make sure I'm not pregnant!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Did you have sex during your period!? Usually that is considered the "safe" time to have sex, because you have already ovulated and is shedding your uterus lining!. The "dangerous" time is usually between the two periods; however, this is only the textbook case, and is not accurate for all women!. Generally speaking though, you should be OK!.

The cramping, thick discharge and bloating can be part of your PMS for a wacky period!. (Yes, discharge should be stretchy during ovulation, drier afterwards, then it can start to become a little thick again just before your period)
Usually, working out should not affect your period(but I have heard that it can make it less painful and slightly shorter!), unless it was a drastic change from your previous lifestyle!.
There are other reasons for a late/skipped period other than pregnancy, such as:
- change in diet
- sudden weight loss/gain
- seasonal change
- change of habits (waking up early/later!.!.!.etc!.)
- excessive exercise
- hormonal imbalance
- discontinued use of birth control pills
- stress
Since it was a while after sex that you did your HPT, it should be conclusive!. BUT, just to be safe and to ease your nerves, you can have a blood test taken at Planned Parenthood!. Good luck, and try to relax!Www@Answer-Health@Com
