Tampon Trouble!!? Kinda : o )!

Question: Tampon Trouble!!!? Kinda : o )
Okay so i started my first period on thursday and i went to the store with my mom to buy some stuff!. My mom says that i shouldn't use tampons so i only was aloud to have pads!. I wanted to try tampons so i got one of my moms out of her cupboard and put it in!. I think i had just finished my period because i had nothing on my pad!. I put it in fine and i couldn't even feel it was there!. Once i realised there was nothing on my pad i tried to take the tampon out but it was really hard and kinda hurt!. but i pulled it out anyways even though it hurt!. Why did it hurt!? My mum says that you shouldn't use tampons if you aren't fully grown cause my sister who is 17 has only just started to use them and im 12!. I want to use them but i dont think that my mum will let me!. How can i persuade her to !.et me use them!? And did it hurt to take it out cause i wasn't on my period anymore!?

I am quite confused right now so please help!.

p!.s i have another sister who is 15 and she doesn't use them either Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should be allowed to use tampons at any age you want !!

It hurt because you used your mum sand they were probably high absorbancy tampons so it took to little blood or nothing because you just started so then it will hurt cuz it isnt quite wet enough!.

Don't use them when your not on or at the beginning because they'll be to painful!.

Tell your mum you tried one and you really like them and then if she lets you buy (tampax compact lites)

Hope this helps

If you weren't bleeding anymore, that would explain why it hurt to pull it out - if it's dry it can stick to the walls of your vagina more which makes it more difficult to get out!.

I have always used only tampons, I don't like pads, but it's all a matter of personal preference!. It isn't bad for you to use them at a young age!. Try using junior tampons, which are smaller and easier for younger people who are less developed!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just this once Im afraid your mum is wrong !. You can use tampons at any time you want as long as you are getting your period !. Some girls use tampons from their first ever period !.
It hurt because the tampon had no blood on it so it wouldnt slide out easily !. If you know you aren't bleeding dont use tampons because its painful to insert and to takeout !. Also because of the risks of TSS ( Toxic Shock Syndrome ) !.
Check out the websites in the source columnWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well the tampon hurt when it came out because it was still dry and fluffy, you should wait until your period is at the heaviest flow when you start because then it will absorb alot of fluid making it easir to slide out!. And theres no need to rush into tampons! I waited a year before i tried them! So i agree with your mom, just stick to pads for the first few times you have it then try tampons!. Good luck babe :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurt because it wasnt used!. When they absorb blood they come out a lot easier!. There is no reason you cant use tampons even if you aren't "fully grown"!. I used mine after being quite frankly disgusted using pads - tampons are much better, hygenic and clean and make you feel 100 times better! Just talk to your mum about it, do research on the net to back it up or just go out and buy your own!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurt probably because the tampon was dry - if there is nothing to absorb, it makes the tampon kinda stick to the walls of your vagina!. I have used tampons probably since I was about 12 or 13 because I think pads are disgusting!.

Talk with your mom!. Tell her your wishes!. Try slender or junior tampons!.

Good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

never put when in when you are not on, when it has absorbed allot it expands and i am sorry for the imigery here lol but it is all squishy and soft like wet kitchen roll lol, when it is dry it is hard but will still go in alright before of being slimline and small and is designed to :)

You can use one!. The reason that it hurt is because there was no blood on it!. If there was it woul;d have been easier!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

only the 1st time dose it hurt that bad!.
and tell her that you think they work way better and you would much rather use them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it hurts because it wasnt used!. once the tampon is completely filled, it's easy to get it out!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's your hymen getting stretched!. If you do use tampons use the slender ones and relax!. The fact that your period had ended also could have caused some pain too! It will hurt though, so wait a little bit!. Best wayy to persuade mom is too, get her when she's most relaxed and happy and just ask her!. Tell her it's something you really want to try and if you don't like it you won't use one until your older!. Also, asking your sister to help you ask her may help too!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It hurt because you weren't on your period!. Your mom might not want you to use them because you can get a serious illness called TSS, which is caused by leaving the tampon in for too long (a couple of days), so as long as you remember about it, you'll probably be fine !. The tampon box should have a warning in or on it that explains the illness!. I've been using tampons since I was 13, I think, and I'm 15 now!. I never really had to ask my mom, though!. I just assumed that I could!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should never try tampons unless you are on your period!. this could lead to a fatal disease - TSS!.
and of course its fine to use tampons any age! i
Just make sure you use the right absorbency for your flow though!.if you want to use tampons, chat to your mum about it - tell her that you will feel more comfortable and secure using them, and hopefully she will understand!. make sure she knows that there is no danger of tampons for any age girl, as long as they are used correctly and not kept in too long!.
good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com

You were probably using too big of a size of tampon if it hurt, get "Junior size" ones that are good for younger sized bodies!.

Also if you were kinda dry "down there" it might be uncomfortable to insert/pull out!. Get some KY personal lube to use them if it hurts too much!.
And it feels really weird ad uncomfortable to wear if it's not in all the way, so make sure you have it pushed in all the way!.

If you really want to wear them, talk to your mom and give her the facts:

-Tampons are cleaner because they are worn on the inside and air can't get to the blood (you also won't have odor with tampons if you do with pads)
-You don't want to walk around feeling like you're in a diaper with pads, lol
-You just want your period to be easier and more convienient with pads!.

If she's really bad about not letting you wear them, just get some money and buy the Junior size one yourself!. Hide them in a drawer or under your bed, and hide the used one and the wrappers in tissue!.

Good luck :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
