Question: How do I tell my mum!.!.!.
!.!.!.that I've started my period!.
Im 16 and ages ago my mum brought me some pads!.
I woke up this morning and started my period, so I used the pads!.
Im really scared about telling her though!.
Any mum or daughters out there that can give me advice on how to do this or share with me what happened with them!?

Your Mum has been through what you're going through only for longer, so do you honestly think that she would be shocked!?!?!? Your Mum has already bought you some pads, so that must show you that she was expecting it!! All you need to do it go straight to your Mum and say, "Mum you couldn't get me some more pads could you, only i've nearly used the other ones you bought" She will then know you have started your periods and your won't feel like you've just told her something awful!! My Daughter has always been able to tell me anything, this is because she knows that nothing shocks me and I will help her all I can! The most trustworthy person in this world should be your MUM!. When i started mine (I was 15) I was REALLY embarrassed too!. I just left a pad on my bed so that she could find it!. But I don't know if that was the right thing to do!.!.!. lol I'm sure she won't care if you tell her!. Every girl goes through this and even she has!. Or you can do what my 13 year old sister did and go "I just found blood in my undies!" and burst into tears when she'd realized what had happened!. Kidding, don't do that!.

oh bless!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.when I started i had no idea about periods and thought I would surely die!. I am still here hundreds of years later! Just go and say to your Mum!.!.!.!.errr I think I've started, and she help you out!.
Far from being scared you should be very pleased with yourself because one day, and I mean one day in the far off future (live loads first) you will want to be a Mum yourself and this is the first sign that you will!. Nature's both wonderful and a bummer too at times!. Congratulations on your achievement!

say " mum ive started now" and i think shell understand if she doesnt say "i'm having the time of the month!. i actually told my sister then she told my mum!. theres no reason to be scared about it just tell her!. i know its quite scary wen u have lots of blood coming out but just drink quite a bit of water and if its painful take a paracetomolWww@Answer-Health@Com

If you are too embarrased to come right out with it then you could either leave the open packet of towels on your bed for her to see or just say something like 'mum, i'm going to need some more of those pads please'!.

I didn't tell my mum, she found out by herself and i felt so guilty because its something mums really want you to tell them (and i wish i had of)!. You'll be embarrassed but do it! Just go to her room while she's alone and say "i got my period today mum"!.!.!.she'll make you fell comfortable :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
There's nothing to be worried about, shes got them too! If you don't wanna tell her straight then hint and say!. 'Mum will you get me some pads next time you go shopping please I need them!.' Or something like that!. Tbf I just told my mum and she gave me some =]
