i just started birth control, im on the shot!. it stopped my periods but i spot all the time, like non stop spotting!! does this happen 2 you!? should i try something different!? Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Yes, it happened to me too!. I think the shot is the best birth control you can use, because you only have to put it once at month (depend what shot, because they are some of them that you put it once every three months) and you forget all rest of the month, besides you don`t have the problem to forget taking the pill one day, and you don't worry about you intrauterine dispositive have moved, etc!.
The spotting is normal when you are in your first months on the shot, so a while after your period has to be normal and only come on the date that suppost to come!. Don't worry! and keeping take care yourself!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

yes is normal, and yes it happen to me when i first go my shot i had my period for 3months straight you shouldn't' had gotten the shot because you gain weight and your period can come at any moment, sometimes i don't even get my period no more, i get 2-3 months for only 4 days, the shot mess you up really bad and you get your period really irregular!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

spotting is basically normal when new to contraceptives!. you should also bare in mind that different women respond differently to birth control!. i also think to be on the safe side you should ask your physician if in your case it is normal on your next appointment !. but i also feel it is nothing to worry about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on depo for 5 years!. The first 3 months i got my period as i normally would than it just stopped!. I never had any spotting at all!. I think you should tell ur doctor and they will help you for sure!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If it isn't controlling your flow like it should be, you should tell your gynecologist or your doctor and see if they can switch you on something else that will do a better job!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
