Question: What Should I Expect- First Physical!?!?
I'm almost 13 and will have my first physical soon!. What should i expect and what will they do!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

well with my doctor they did it just like a regular check up:
- eye test
- height and weight measure
- she (doctor) did ask me questions regarding my period and stuff
- weird thing where she feels around for your lower organs (just by pressing gently)
- reflex test
- shots if you need them

It depends on the physical!. If this is just a physcial for school then not much!. The doctor or nurse will take you're vitals (ex!. bloodpressure) and they'll test your reflexes, your eyesight, ask you to do some sort of strength test (I had to lift my doctor with my knees), check for scoliosis (curving of the spine), and maybe a few other things!. However, if you're getting whats called a Well Woman (which I doubt considering your age) the doctors will collect a sample from your vaginal wall/uteral lining and the sample will be sent to a lab to check for any abnormalites!. But if this is just a school physical then you won't have to worry about any of that!. School physicals are cut and dry and nothing to worry over!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
they'll ask you questions [if you've gotten your period, etc!.] they'll check your height and weight, look in your eyes and ears, tap your knees, check your heartbeat, blood pressure, they won't make you undress! no worries, they'll probably have you lay down on the table and they'll just lift your shirt up a little bit and possibly feel your breasts [nothing to akward, its fine, really!.!.] and then they'll just feel to both sides of your vagine [you have glands there]!. they won't do anything 'down there' so!.!.!. you don't have anything to worry about! and theirs no need to feel akward, the doctors do this thousands of times a year, they're professionals, and its fine!.!.!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
they will check your eye sight your ears and all tht stuff!.!.youll have to put a paper dress thing on and have nothing except underwear on underneath it!.!.its kinda weird and they will ask u a bunch of questions!.!.like to u go to the dentist, do u brush ur teeth and some personal stuff to!. but its not tht bad!.
