I was on the depo shot for 7 years!. For the first year I was on the shot I had bleeding everyday, after that no more cycle no more bleeding at all!. I have heard some people do some people don't!. I think it just depends on how your body reacts to it!.!. You sure need to do your research and now all the side effects and down fall of the shot!. Yes you are supposed to be spotting a little bit when you are on the shot!. You should research the type of shot you are on so that you are well aware of all the side affects it can cause!. This way if anything serious arises, you are well prepared and aware of what you should/shouldn't do!. Try medlineplus!.com, I use it all the time for medications, diseases etc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
