You are certainly more limited to what you can use to prevent pregnancy, but luckily you still have options!. Condoms, of course, are easy to use and come in latex, polyeurathane and lambskin (condoms come in a female form, as well!)!. Spermicides (nonoxynol 9) are another option, which kill the sperm on contact!. Spermicides can also be combined with condoms for extra protection, and some condoms even come with a spermicide!. Spermicides come in gels, jellys, and foams, all of which are over the counter!. Diaphragms and cervical caps are another option, as is the sponge (Today Sponge is a particular brand, which also uses a spermicide)!. Diaphragms and cervical caps must be purchased from a doctor, as it has to be fit to your cervix!. Abstinence, of course, is the best option in preventing pregnancy!. More extreme methods requiring surgery include tubal ligation, hysterectomy, and vasectomy (male)!.

I see several people have said Nuva Ring, Mirena, etc!. These are not safe for you, either, as they still carry the risk of blood clots due to the use of hormones in their products!. Any hormone-based birth control will not be compatible with your illness!.

Hope this helps you explore your options! Best of luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

there are a great many, why didn't you ask your doctor this when he/she told you the pill wasn't safe!? suggest that is your best plan of action, because the doctor can tell you about the various form he/she can provide AND if you choose a few of the ones mentioned, can measure you for them right then and there!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

im not sure as many things have synthetic hormones in them,i have a lot of promlems with the normall pill!.,could you try the mini pill!?contains one hormone so less side effects!.or iud!?they usually suggest that after childbirth though, implant!?depo shot!? the patch!?
i suggest you write these down and ask your doctor,if you havent allready i suggest you talk to the family planning/planned parent hood clinic,as they are usually alot more helpfull than doctors and know slightly more about contraception etc!.
