If you don't want to have your period on your wedding day or your honeymoon!

Question: If you don't want to have your period on your wedding day or your honeymoon
how exactly do I need to take my pill!? I normally start my period around the 2nd weekend in the month, and I'm getting married on the second weekend in the month!. I'm unsure of how to go about taking the pill to avoid having my period on my wedding day!
Any suggestions would be helpful! Www@Answer-Health@Com

All you have to do is skip your placebo pills and immediately begin another pack!. It's as simple as that! This is safe and effective; some doctors even recommend doing this, especially for women with cramps and heavy bleeding!. I know several people who do this and it has never caused any problems!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It actually depends on which pill you're on!. If you are on a constant dose estrogen/progesterone pill then the best way to avoid your period is to not stop taking the active pills (the non-placebo pills)!. This way, your body will not get the chance to allow menstruation to occur!. The only down side of this is that you may still get a small amount of break-through bleeding during this time -- but it shouldn't be as heavy as a real period!. On the other hand, if you're on a multi-phasic pill (one that alters hormone concentrations throughout the month), then you might want to check with your doctor, or do specific research on your type of pill!. First go to Doctor and ask her which pill to take !.I can tell you that can start taking the pill 4 to 5 days before your period date, and continue to take the pill till the date you want!.
But don't extend for too many days!.Because when the period arrives it gives lot of pain!. so do take care of that!. so don't extend for too many days, extend but as many days as you require!.
When you stop taking the pill make sure that the your period arrives within five days after you stopped taking the pill!.
Congratulations & do Take Care!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Call your doctor's office and ask one of the nurses or your doctor if it would be okay for you to skip to your next week of active pills on your brand of pill instead of taking your sugar pills!.

EDIT:
ehsaas, I am on the Nuva Ring too and there are only 28 days of active medicine in the ring!. You can't leave it in for 40 days, because 12 days you are not protected!. You can leave it in for four weeks!. Read the packet or talk to your doctor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your Gynecologist would be the best person to ask about this!. There are ways to manipulate the hormonal supplements so as to bring on your period at a certain time -- avoiding a specific time, like a honeymoon or vacation!. There are also certain birth control methods that cause you to not have a period for extended periods of time!. Again, this is best discussed with your Gynecologist!.

Basically if you've already been taking your pill for a few months then in order to skip it for your wedding + honeymoon, you need to take all 21 pills, skip the sugar pills and go right ahead to your next pack of pills!. It doesn't always work, though, but generally it is effective if you've been taking the pill for at least 3 months!.

Congrats on your wedding by the way, and good luck!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you dont want your period, then dont take ur reminder pills at the end of the pack!. Instead, start a new pack immediately!. You may have some spotting, but you shouldnt have your period!. Make sure the next month you go back to taking your pills regularly though!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just keep taking your next set of pills!. Dont start the white ones!. Its ok to skip a period!. Just dont do it all the time!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
