Question: I am going to a pool party, and i am on my period!. Does anyone know something i could do!?
I am totally against tampons, and if you are about to say either don't go , or go, but don't swim, then just don't reply at all!. I really want to swim, but i dont think wearing a pad in t he pool is such a good idea!. If you have any home remidies or advice on what to do, then please tell me!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Actually, there IS a way! If you're able at all, take a quick shower (w/o any tampons or pads on/in) before hopping in the pool!. Water actually temporarily reduces/stops the flow while it's present!. So, take a shower, let the blood flow until it stops (you have to release what was already there), soak your bathing suit and put it on (soaking wet)!. You have to get in the pool immediately b/c the flow is only very temporarily stopped!. Once in the pool, the water will continue to "hold everything in"!. Make sure you have a towel (literally) at the side of the pool ready for immediate use and cover! Quickly (but not too obviously) go back into the bathroom when done swimming and change into dry clothing and a new tampon/pad!. Other than that, there is no way unless you want the pool to look like a scene from Jaws!! hehe Good luck girlie!Www@Answer-Health@Com
Well, I do strongly suggest you use a tampon!. They are very comfortable if you insert them properly!.
But my friend swims without anything when she has it, but as soon as she gets out she has to go to the bathroom and put on a pad!.!.!.!.If you are going to do it this way, first go to the bathroom and wash yourself off down there, that way its clean when you go in the pool, then go swim, and enjoy yourself, and go straight to the bathroon when your all done!.!.!.!.
But wearing a tampon would make you feel much more confident while swimming, but deffinetly don't wear a pad in the pool!. Everyone will see it and it wont work !.

uhhhh!. i've never heard of anything that could help you except a menstrual cup and that's inserted too so you might be against that!. Have you ever tried tampons!? They're made to be your friends!. and if you wear a pad in the pool it's just going to soak up the pool water and everyone's going to think you have a giant vagina!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your period stops in water but when you get out of the water you'll need to go change FAST!!! You can't wear a pad in the water because it would be absorbing the water and not the fluids from your period!Www@Answer-Health@Com

ok i have never used tampons and my friend told me she does this: wears a pair of tight underwear under her suit, with a pad it!. i dont really understand this, but its all i got!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
