Question: Had my first ultrasound today and I'm concerned!.!.!.
the technicians didnt say a word about what they did or didn't see!. Is this normal!? They told me to make an appt with my doctor in 2 wks to go over the results!. Why can't a tech go over what they saw!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

They legally cannot tell you what they have found!. A Dr!. has to review it b/c if they tell you one thing and the Dr!. says another, there can be some trouble! BUT, I always asked and sometimes I would just guess at something and they would tell me yes or no!. It's good to ask sometimes though b/c I was having really bad pains in my lower abdomen and had an ultrasound and the tech told me it was a cyst but when they Dr!. called me back a few days later she said there was nothing wrong! I switched Dr!.'s and had another ultrasound and they confirmed that I had a cyst about the size of an egg on my right ovary! Ugh!.!.!.!.so just ask! Www@Answer-Health@Com
Don't worry about anything it is perfectly normal for a technician not to tell you anything, so relax!. They are not qualified to interpret the results so a medically qualified person will do it fro you in 2 weeks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Typically they cannot tell you anything unless they hold a medical degree/training!. It's to prevent mis-information from being spread!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
they might not have been 'qualified' enough to tell you the results even if they knew them!. just be paitient and relax i hope everything will be just fine and i m sure it will
