Question: Period pains!.!.Q for the ladies
I started my period the very last day of 8th grade and now i am 32!. It seems like all through school i had to go home alot when my period came because of bad cramps!. For the last few years they have not been real bad as long as i take some meds!. well i did start on sunday and today they where so horrible!.I felt like someone was stabbing my stomach over and over and my back was just as bad!. My friend said Birth control pills would help out alot!. Is this true!? BTW!.!.i went to see a gyno last year and she said everything was fine and just to take over the counter meds!.!.but like i said!.!.they do not help to much!. any help would be much appreciated!. thank you :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

your friend is right, birth control lightens your flow and reduces cramps!. it has helped me sooo much! i have had the worst cramps for as long as ive had my period!. i have a really heavy flow too!. (normally, i have to wear overnight pads during the day, and not tampons are absorbant enough!) -good luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think birth control pills help in a lot of different aspects of a woman's life!. But, it depends on the person!. For one thing, then help some woman have regular periods, but like you said, yours are generally regular!. BC pills also help me with other PMS symptoms, like cramping, bloating, and the oiliness I get in my face!.

Birth control can help make your periods shorter and lighter as well as regulate them and help ease cramping!.
If you're having large changes in the amount of cramping I would contact your OB and see if this is something to make an appointment over!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I only know that birth control makes your period shorter and come on time!. Not sure if they take away the pain!. Might I suggest Midol extra strength!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
