I'm terribly afraid of needles and tomorrow I have to get a shot, but not just any shot!.!.!.!.the cancer one!. Do you know the one where you hear on the commercial the girls come out saying "I wanna be one less"!? Yeah that's the one! If any of you girls have gotten it yet, how is it!? i got that shot along time a go and it doesnt even hurt u only have to get 3 of them it really quick to my mom made my sister and she didn't feel a thing and she was only 9! but you do have to tell ur dr!. if u have a bleeding or blood-clotting disorder, a weak immune system,high fever, or signs of infection, and if you are taking a blood thinner such as warfarin!. Also there may be certain other vaccines that should not be given at the same time as Gardasil!. Until you have completed the series of 3 Gardasils, do not receive any other vaccine (including a flu shot) without first asking your dr!.

well it hurts im afraid i wont lie they do it in the muscle but it hurts after like 1-2 hours after is when the pain sets in but it goes away!.!.!.BUT if you dont get the 3 dose shot then you will need to get surgery if you get cervical cancer so i think i could put up with a shot better than i could put up with surgery and possibly not havin kidsWww@Answer-Health@Com
First of all!.!. It's not "the cancer one" It's called GARDISIL, and it does not protect you against all cancers!.!.!.!.
On another note, You will be just fine! I have had all 3 and haven't had a problem yet!. It's a great vaccine which will help you immensely in the future!. Just stay strong!
What to expect: It will hurt while the shot is going in you for about MAYBE 5 seconds!. After that, it goes away for the entire night!. Perhaps it will hurt you the next day!. If it does hurt, its only a minimal dull pain!.!.!.!.nothing too sharp or painful
Either way- the shot is wonderful! The amount of pain you may feel (which is barely anything!) is totally worth it!.

I don't want to scare you or be mean, but I'll be honest!. I havn't gotten it but my friend did and she said it hurt!. She told me the needle was bigger than normal!. And you have to get the shot 2 more times!. Once after 3 months and another time after 6!. But if you just turn away and squeeze someone's hand, I'm sure it will be fine!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You r going to be fine! after your shot you might feel a little dizzy bc you worked yourself up so much and you might have pain in the arm they are sticking the needle into!.i would suggest it u have an ipod to listen to it while they r getting ready to do the shot and while they do it!.It is so quick , and later you will be glad you did it!. Ah yes, THAT shot!. Yes, I've gotten it!. You'll have to get two more shots (about 2 or 3 months apart) before it's all over with!. It doesn't hurt too bad!. I'm afraid of needles, too!. :) I simply looked away when the nurse brought the needle out and inhaled slowly to help me calm my nerves and let my mind concentrate on something else!.

It hurts really bad, but please don't be really freaked out!
It's a series of three shots, and the first one was the worst!. My arm killed for like two days after it and it stung really bad!. But it went away!.
The second one hurts, but it doesn't hurt much!. Just when the needle is put in!.
The third one hurt and stung really bad, but my arm didn't hurt for much longer after!.

cervical cancer!? yeah i have needle phobia!. and so does my sis!. she got it and it hurts more than any regular shot but the pain goes away faster!. its like a little sibling pinching or poking u but the pain goes away within a few seconds!. bite ur lip and think of something really funny that makes u laugh but hold it in!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I hate to tell you but I have heard horror stories about the side affects!. I don't do well with needles either, just close your eyes look away and think happy thoughts!.!. perhaps you should take some one with you to keep your mind off the shot and help you cope through it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
of course your going to feel nervous but it will be ok its real quick and your only going to feel a little poke!. and its done!. you might feel a little sore around the area where they poked you at but it will go away in like an hour or two depending on your pain level and how you handle it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Go to the pharmacy and ask for a topical freezing called Emla!.
It will freeze the site so that you don't feel the needle!. Put it on an hour beforehand and let the nurse know that you used it!.
The shots itself is nothing!.!.!. its quick!.

Hurts a heck of a lot less then the chemo and radiation from the cervical cancer you could get - just close your eyes, it will be over in a flash! And thank your lucky stars there is something out there that may prevent that cancer!Www@Answer-Health@Com
My bestfriend gets those!.She says they hurt cause they stick the needle in ur muscles!.So you'll be brusied for about 2-3 days!.Also,I think you have to get about three of them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well mine hurt for 2 weeks im serious!! I NEVER WENT BACK FORM THE SECOND ONE!.!.I HATED IT!.! IT SERIOUSLY HURT FOR 2 WEEKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so yes it does hurt and especially when you verly touch it!.!.my friends kept hitting it! Www@Answer-Health@Com
