My last few periods have been very light (one or two days, could have worn the same pantyliner both days if I wanted)!.The blood is like, BLACK!. I am on one of those birth control pills where you can take it months at a time, and then stop after 3 or 4 months and have a period!. I am sexually active, but I show no signs of being pregnant!.
Just wondering if this is normal, or if I should make an appointment to see my doctor!. It's often a hassle to go to the doctor, so if this is normal, I won't bother!.

I'm wondering if you've been taking iron tablets as I know they definitely turn pooh black!. Whether it gets into period blood I've no idea!.
Have you read the leaflet thoroughly to see if it mentions anything!?
If the doctor's a hassle to visit, is the pharmacist any more convenient!?
If you're in the U!.K!. there's NHS Direct!. I'm sure they're in the phone book!. Maybe there's somewhere on the net where you can talk to a qualified practitioner!.In any case, don't put off seeking help if the colour alarms you!.

It sounds like it might just be a lot of clotting!. I don't think it is something to be worried about!. Clots are usually very dark in color, very black and dark red, and sometimes are thick and goopy!.
Still, if you are that worried you could just give your doctor a call!. It honestly may just have something to do with your birth control!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

hmm sometimes i have blackish/browinsh period!.!.!.!.!.and im a virgin so obviously i dont take birth control pills!.!.!.!.!. so thats quite normal to me!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
