Painful ovulation/mittelschmerz is believed to be caused by a small leakage of blood from the ovary that occurs at the time of ovulation!. This blood, which is later reabsorbed, is thought to cause an irritation of the abdominal wall which causes pain!. The degree of pain you feel depends on your individual pain threshold and the volume of blood that is released, among other factors!. The amount of space that exists between a woman's ovary and her abdominal wall can also affect the severity of the irritation!. While painful ovulation does not lead to other problems, other medical conditions can cause painful ovulation, such as PCOS or fibroids on the ovaries!. If you are concerned, it is suggested that you visit your doctor to discuss your issues!.

Vaginal discharge is normal and varies during your menstrual cycle!. Before ovulation (the release of the egg), there is A LOT of mucous produced, up to 30X more than after ovulation!. It is also more watery and elastic during that phase of your cycle!. You may want to wear panty liners during that time!.

The things to be worried about include if the discharge has a yellow or green color, is clumpy like cottage cheese, or has a bad odor!. If worried, see a doctor!.

Different Types of Discharge
White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle!. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching!. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection!.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating!.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising!.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor!.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina!. Old blood looks brown!.

Spotting Blood/Brown Discharge: This may occur when you are ovulating/mid-cycle!. Sometimes early in pregnancy you may have spotting or a brownish discharge at the time your period would normally come!.

If you are concerned, it is suggested that you visit your doctor to discuss your issues!.

Are you sure you have a yeast infection!? A yeast infection is white, thick, and a consistency similar to cottage cheese!. If this only happens when you ovulate, and you don't have this kind of discharge and you aren't itchy, chances are it's just normal discharge!. When you ovulate your discharge can be white, or a white/ clear color!. It can be stringy and it can be sticky!.
If you do keep having yeast infections each month see your doctor!. You might have a resistant strain that over the counter medications won't help!. Don't keep using the over the counter stuff every month!. You could give yourself a bacterial infection!. See your gynecologist for a culture!. However, it almost sounds like to me your discharge might be normal discharge if it happens only when you are ovulating!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have tried all the over the counter medicines at your local drug store then you may need to go see your GYN and get some stronger medicine!. Whatever you do, DO NOT douche! That just makes thing worse because it flushes all the normal "good" bacteria in your body which is causing the yeast to go on "overload"!. Even your doctor should have told you that!.
