Tampon troubles, girls only!!

Question: Tampon troubles, girls only!
Ok so I'm 14 and have a generally small build so I wear slender tampons!. (Well, I don't 'wear' them, because I've never been able to get one in!) I'm not sure if it's the fact that i'm a virgin, or young, or just started my period recently, but I have a lot of difficulties with tampons!. I want to get one in, but I was wondering if maybe I masturbated first, I would be more wet and the tampon would go in easier!. If this is a bad idea, please let me know!. Thanks!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

this is how you use a tampon, you need not masturbate, but if u insist, then go ahead!.!.!.lol

How to Use a Tampon

You can use these guidelines, along with the descriptions and diagrams in the tampon product you purchase, to assist you!.

Before you start, try to relax!. When you're nervous, your muscles tense up, which makes it much harder to insert the tampon!.

1!. Pick the smallest size tampon for the first time (junior or regular absorbency)!. Once you get used to the process, you can use larger, higher absorbency tampons if the smaller tampons are not sufficiently absorbent (if they are allowing menstrual leakage)!.

2!. Sit or stand in a comfortable position!. You can stand with your leg on the toilet or tub, or crouch down with your knees apart if you prefer!.

3!. Unwrap the tampon and extend the string fully!. Hold the tampon in the middle of the tampon with the thumb and index or middle finger of your writing hand!. Be sure the string is visible and is pointing away from your body!.

4!. With your other hand, spread the folds of skin around the vulva (called the labia) and position the tip of the tampon in the vaginal opening!. The end with the string should be sticking out the end away from your body, pointed toward the ground!.

5!. While holding the tampon at a 45o angle, gently push the tampon into the opening (aim for the small of your back)!. Push the tampon in until your fingers (holding the middle of the tampon) touch your body and the larger tube is completely inside your vagina!.

6!. If you are using a tampon with an applicator, next, use your index finger to push the smaller tube through the outer tube (while continuing to hold onto the larger tube with your other fingers)!. This movement pushes the tampon out the front end of the applicator and into the vagina!. At this point, there will only be a small amount of tube that is outside your vagina, and the tampon string should be visible!.

7!. Once the inner tube is all the way in, remove the applicator!. Wrap the applicator in toilet paper and throw it away in the trash or feminine waste disposal container!. Do not flush the applicator down the toilet; the cardboard or plastic will clog the toilet!. Make sure the string hangs outside the vaginal opening!.

8!. A few hours later, when you are ready to remove the tampon, grasp the string and gently pull it downward until the entire tampon is out!. It is best to wrap the tampon in toilet paper and throw it away!. Some disposable tampons can be flushed down the toilet, but it is not recommended!.

goodluck!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

um!.!.!.!.okay, where do i start!.!.!. firstly you don't need to masturbate in order to get a tampon in!. If you have your period then it should be moist enough down there to get it in!. Secondly, because your inexperienced, its gonna be more difficult to get it in, but remember that the more you do it the easier it will be!. Tampons are convenient yes, but they can (rarely) cause Toxic Shock Syndrome, which is a scary illness you can get from tamoms if they're left in too long!. So just be aware and wear pads too (especially at night) if your having trouble!. Don't stress over it, and love your body!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you being a virgin has nothing to do with wearing tampons!. it is hard for every girl the first couple of times!. even though the diagram on the instructions say to insert aiming at your lower back, try just going straight up, and use playtex gentle glide applicator, it is easier to insert!. i have noticed that it is harder to insert one right after t\i have dried off in the shower, so maybe you need some K-Y jelly o something to glide it better!. it is most likely the position you are inserting it from!. relax more and try a different approach or switch hands or something!. you will get it eventually!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

woah! okay hahaha its okay i understand where youre coming from because i was worried if i was going it right too when i first started using tampons!. its not because youre a virgin or too young or anything!. youre probably just not putting them in right!. if you feel pressure when youre putting it in and like your hurting yourself and its slanted slightly towards the anus youre putting it in wrong!. make sure the tampon is slightly FORWARD and you should feel the opening of your vagina!. its already wet up there and the tampon should slide in with no difficulty!. theres no need for masturbation :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I do not think that would help!. You should wet enough due to the fact that you are bleeding!. Try putting one leg up on the tub then inserting it!. You may have to try several times and relax!. Try pointing the tampon towards your lower back then put it in!. I have troubles sometimes putting in a tampon and I am 26 and have had sex for many years now!. Although on the other hand I used tampons for 8 years before I had sex and did not have a problem!. One more thing I can only use plastic applicators for some reason I find that they go in eaiser!.
Hopes that helps!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Your idea wouldn't hurt anything!.!.!.but to save you from having to do that in a public place you could just get a bottle of astroglide and use that to lubricate the tampon before you use it!. Ask your mom to get it for you if you can't or don't want to buy it!. Also don't listen to people telling you to put soap, vasaline, or cream in you vag!. You can get a yeast infection!. Only use stuff that is meant to go up there like Ky or astroglide!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Dont put one in when you are dry!. You should only wear one when your flow is moderate to heavy!. Never when it is very light because of risks of TSS!. When your flow is at least moderate, the blood will provide enough lube to get it in!. Start with the smallest tampon you can and wait til you are having a heavy flow and practice!. When you get comfortable with getting it in easily, move up to a bigger tampon and you will have an easier time getting it in when your flow is lighter!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Relaxing is a big issue!. If you are tense and worried about not getting the tampon in, then your vaginal muscles will tense up as well!.!. Take a few deep breaths and slowly insert the tampon in!. Try using some water base lube on the tampon applicator as well!. You may also have the problem that your vagina may be too tight to wear tampons!. It you want to slowly stretch yourself, through masturbating, before you put a tampon in, that would be fine as well!.!. Plus the orgasm helps relieve cramps!.
If you are still having problems, talk to you doctorWww@Answer-Health@Com

well, with period blood, you're already pleeeenty wet!.!.!.
masturbating might help relieve cramps!?
but I don't think it'll have much to do with the insertion!.
I couldn't wear tampons for the first 6 months of my period,
but once it starts,
your hips start to widen and then it'll be fine!.
so just use pads for now,
now matter how much it sucks,
and keep trying at every period until you can do it easily!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

No, not a bad idea!.!.!.actually a good one!. It helped me when I was younger!. Just gives you some more lube and relaxes you!. Make sure you do have a heavy enough flow to wear a tampon though!. You don't want TSS!.!.!.

Just don't do it with one in !.!.!.the contractions of your orgasm will pull the tampon waaaay up there and make removal annoying!Www@Answer-Health@Com

well it shouldn't matter if ur a virgin or not, just don't push it in too deep or it might will hurt but may u buy the smallest tampons u can find, 'ob' is pretty good and then just keep trying, if u want just some water or cream or soap and then try to get it in!.!.good luck :-)Www@Answer-Health@Com

when i first got my period, i had such problems fitting them in, but i found that the pictures in the box really helped!. you kind of just aim it to your tail bone, its hard to explain!. But being a virgin doesnt effect it, and masturbating wont help, but good luck!. =)Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm still not a big fan of them, just try wearing pads whenever you can and when you absouletly have to wear tampons!. idk about the mastrubating part but just relax and you should be fine!.
Good Luck, and best wishes!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Usually you should be fine getting it in as long as you RELAX!. The worst thing you can do is tense up!. Get a mirror so you can look down there to see what you're doing!. It'll get easier with practice!. I promise!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yeah i hate tampons!. i did get one stuck once!. and if you leave them in too long it can be bad!. did you hear about that one girl who had to go to the hospital because she forgot she had a tampon in and then had sex!? that would really suck!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, are you trying to put it in while ur on ur period!?
If soooo then it'll be 'bloody' so it will go in easier then if you tried to do it when you wasnt on!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Try a plastic applicator!. I could never get a tampon in with a cardboard applicator!. Also, the first couple times u wear one its kinda uncomfortable but it gets better!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

you don't have to masturbate you can use vasaline and make sure that you use your fingers to pull the vagina walls apart so the hole will be widerWww@Answer-Health@Com
