Question: Please help!. Could I need surgery!?
I have a bump on my cheek!. Kinda at that bone on the bottom!. It's on the right side!. It's been there for months!. I think it's getting worse!. Before it hurt when pressure was applied to it!. Now it hurts almost all time, especially when I open my mouth!. My dad said I bumped it, but he didnt know how long its been there for!. One of my friends said it could be an ulcer!. And another said I could need surgery, and they might need to cut my chin open to saw the bump off!. Nobody seems to know for a fact what's wrong with me, and I'm scared now!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I dont think your friends know what they're talking about!!! i think you are worrying over nothing hun! your dad is right you probably did bump it!. its okay i worry about minor stuff like that too, but just wait it out a little bit!. put ice on it 3 times a day!. if it's still there in a few weeks you can see a doctor but i highly doubt its a big deal!Www@Answer-Health@Com
ok first if all you need to stop worrying about the bad things!. it probably isn't as bad as you are thinking!. since it has been there for a long time you need to get to the doctor to get it checked because if it is something bad the longer its there, the worse it is for you, especially if its getting bigger and hurting more!. it could be something simple that the doctor can give you a medication for a clear it up!. good luck, and try not to be scared, just go get it checked!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Bone new growth in medicine is called OSTEOMA!. The mandible often makes growths like this due to dental problems like tooth abscess and dental malformation!. Xray of your jaw is necessary to know if surgery is required since not all cyst of the mandible needs surgery!. One indication of surgery is when the cyst will be an initiating line for fracture!. why in the world would you scare yourself other then go to the doctor!? its probably a stopped up gland and it couldn't be too bad i bet!. it sounds like that but you have to go to the doctor and surely its nothing too serious!. if it is cause of you waiting so long but i am sure its not too serious just dont' wait too long next time go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Make an appointment with your doctor asap!. You could have a swollen/infected gland, cyst or tumor, but only your doctor will know for sure!. If the bump hasn't disappeared & has gotten worse, don't delay!. Get to your doctor so that he can allay all of your worst fears!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not trying to scare you- but have you considered skin cancer!? Kind of sounds like Melanoma to me!.!.!. so I would get it checked!.
