First of all, congratulations on the new little one! What a wonder!. Very happy for you!

Remember that when you are pregnant, you are over-vasculating!. I!.e!., have a heavier--far heavier--volume of blood flowing through your veins and arteries!. This can cause itching anywhere!

I realize you're thinking it is NOT a yeast infection, but it sounds like perhaps the beginning of one, since you mentioned a discharge!. Additionally, the discomfort with intercourse makes me think it's a yeast infection!.

Not to worry, though! They can take care of it quickly!. There is no harm to your baby!. It is SOOO well insulated in there!.

Blessings to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Is there any odor "fishy" smell!? What color is the discharge!? Pregnant women are at a higher risk of getting vaginits (vaginal infections) because a pregnant woman's immunity is lowered than normal!. Your doctor will take a swap and will see what is going on!. If there is a "fishy" smell, more likely you might have a vaginal infection!. If you do, the doctor will prescribe you a 5 day precription of this tube like gel to shoot up in the vagina!. Do this for 5 days and it's gone!.!.!.it's quite simple, and quite common to get it!. The doctor will even to tell you not to have any intercourse while taking this medicine!.

More discharge is normal during pregnancy - the consistency should be a good indicator as to whether it's the beginning of a yeast infection!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

I had plenty of yeast infections while pregnant both times!. I think it is normal for pregnant women to get yeast infections during pregnancy!. More discharge is the norm during pregnancy!. Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's just a bacterial infection!. This happens frequently during pregnancy!. Make sure you drink a lot of water!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I looked to find some medical advice on the net for this, but basically your symptoms are too sporadic to lump them all in one dignonsense (I love calling it diagnonsense apposed to diagnosis, it seems so befitting when doctors now-a-days just prescribe you whatever you say you seen on television,!.!.!.lol)!. However I can say I had very simlar symptoms while I was pregnant and I will share with you what the doctor told me!.

Her first question was, is there any smell associated with the drainage or discharge!? If you've ever had a yeast infection you know there is a smell associated and although I cannot say I have ever had one (just good luck), I have been told it is a very powerful yeasty bread smell that can turn very sour!. If it is not a yeast infection and indeed another type of infection, it will be a very foul odor!. Either of these smells indicate an infection, and you should do what you already considered and see the obgyn just as you were planning!.

Second I got the exam,!.!.!.*wooo-weeee, fun! (sarcasm totally), lol*

She divined there was no malodor (that was fun to expeirence)!. And ruled out infection!. She then checked my labia (because I actually had swelling to, on both sides though), and decided that was due to hormone increases that take place during pregnancy!. She finished the exam said she found nothing abnormal but we'd have to wait for the results!. I got my results a week later and went back to see the doc!. She said the tests were negative for everything, and that the increased discharge was just another lovely aspect of pregnancy for some women, that it is the body prepping the birth cannal for the baby, and it was a good sign!.

Now I never spoke to the doctor about painful sex, but did expierence sharp pains during sex after my 3rd or 4th month, every baby book I read said that could be expected!. The book alluded to the stretching of the muscles and entire inner cavity having to move things about to accomodate baby and occasionally it pushes things in the way of other things (to use laymans terms,!.!.!.lol), which can be anywhere from moderately uncomfortable to painful!. If it gets extremely painful, again your doing the right thing by seeing the doc!. I really hope that helps!. Congratulations on the beautiful baby, raising a child is a true gift for the parent, and with good parents (as I am sure you will be by how important you felt it was to ask this question for your babies safety), the child is really the lucky one!

Hope that helps!.

You shouldn't have to wait until Monday to call the OB/GYN!. They have people on call to help you out!. You should be able to use an over the counter yeast infection cream but I would check with your doctor first!. Just call the regular phone number in the morning and leave a message!. Someone should call you back!.
It sounds like you may have a yeast infection!. Although discharge is normal in pregnancy, itchy swollen labia are not!. Neither is uncomfortable intercourse!. So, again call them tomorrow!. Remember, that's what YOU are paying them for!Www@Answer-Health@Com
