Question: Birth control pills 'the pill'
right im 15 and i always use a condom when me and my girlfriend have sex, mine and her family knows, wich i think is good, and my sister recently told me my mum would be a lot more at ease if she was on the pill!.
she asked her gp, he said he's not sure because it recently emerged that my gf has extremely mild epilepsy, she will see a specialist to see f it is safe to go on the pill but, has anyone else ever experienced this!?
oh and is it safe to not use a condom whilst she is in the pill!?

I don't know about the whole epilepsy/pill thing!. But It is more safe to use condoms and the Pill!. The pill will protect you from pregnancy and the condoms will also help protect from pregnancy and from getting STD/Aids etc!. (Not saying that either of you have that)
But it is safe to not use condoms while she is on the pill, just remember that it takes about 3 months for the pill to fully protect her from pregnancy, so use condoms for the first few months!. I have has several friends get on the pill and still get pregnant in the first few months of being on the pill!. And she needs to be taking the pill every day at the same time for the pill to work the best!

Even if she is on the pill it is necessary to still use a condom!. Many people have gotten pregnant while on them before!. She does need to see a neurologist before starting any pills though because some of them can cause worse seizures!. My husband's seizure medication specifically says not to be taken by women who are on the pill!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
No, she cant be on the pill because of her seizures but she should talk to her doctor!. Perhaps a copper IUD would be appropriate because it doesnt contain hormones, but I am not sure!. Only a doctor will know what is best!. Www@Answer-Health@Com
I don't know about weather she can use the pill or not but what I do know is it is 2x as safe to use a condom and be on the pillWww@Answer-Health@Com
i wouldnt recommend that pill b/c the pill is easy to forget i would suggest she get on iud, it protects her from up to 5 yrs but not from STDWww@Answer-Health@Com
