What is an ingrown hair like?!
Question: What is an ingrown hair like!?
I just noticed a bump in my pubic hair on the edge of where it grows!. Its a little bit itchy and hurts when I rub it!. I don't shave my pubic area so I don't know what an ingrown hair is like!. Can I get one even if I don't shave!? What do they feel like/look like!?
Could it be an ingrown hair, pimple, or do you think its something worse!?
BTW: I have not had sexual contact with anyone other than my boyfriend since April, and my boyfriend is not cheating!.!.!. I know because he works or is at my place!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It does sound like an ingrown hair!. You can get them for no reason!. I don't shave and I get them all of the time and I know it's not an std since I have had them since I hit puberty!. Warm water helps with the swelling!. The best thing is to let it run its course!. It takes a week or two to completely go away!. Just wear underwear that doesn't constrict the area (I find boy shorts are great)!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Waxing can also cause ingrowns!.
It may be a pimple!.!. if so it'll go away, and it's red!.
If it's not a pimple, and it doesn't go away within say a month, you have to pick it out-- dig it out basically!. You could do this with a napkin!.!. kind of like popping a pimple!. Something comes out!. And then wipe with alcohol!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

yep an ingrown hair is a red bump which is irritated!

it sounds like an ingrown hair or a pimple!. just give it a few days and if it doesn't go away then do some research or see a doctor!. but i've had plenty of ingrowns, and they just go away after a couple of days!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
does sound like an ingrown hair or pimple!. try putting a hot compress on it which will make it come to a head and heel faster!. exfoliate that area as wellWww@Answer-Health@Com
It sounds like an ingrown hair!. Don't leave it though because it could become infected!. You need to get the hair, sometimes it's 2 hairs!Www@Answer-Health@Com
