What is a discharge ?????????????????!

Question: What is a discharge !?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?
Answers:
Once you start puberty a white and/or clear, non-foul smelling discharge (mucous) from your vagina is normal!. The vagina is self-cleaning!. You will also have your own 'scent' (musky) and it will smell stronger to you than to others!. This same discharge increases the closer you get to ovulation and when you are sexually aroused!. Trust me, you don't ever want it to go away!.

Different Types of Discharge:

White: Thick, white discharge is common at the beginning and end of your cycle!. Normal white discharge is not accompanied by itching!. If itching is present, thick white discharge can indicate a yeast infection!.

Clear and stretchy: This is "fertile" mucous and means you are ovulating!.

Clear and watery: This occurs at different times of your cycle and can be particularly heavy after exercising!.

Yellow or Green: May indicate an infection, especially if thick or clumpy like cottage cheese or has a foul odor!.

Brown: May happen right after periods, and is just "cleaning out" your vagina!. Old blood looks brown!.

Vaginal discharge refers to secretions from the vagina!. Such discharge can vary in:

Consistency (thick, pasty, thin)
Color (clear, cloudy)
Smell (normal, odorless, bad odor)

Having some amount of vaginal discharge is normal, especially if you are of childbearing age!. Glands in the cervix produce a clear mucus!. These secretions may turn white or yellow when exposed to the air!. These are normal variations!.

The amount of mucus produced by the cervical glands varies throughout the menstrual cycle!. This is normal and depends on the amount of estrogen circulating in your body!.

Vaginal discharge that suddenly differs in color, odor, or consistency, or significantly increases or decreases in amount, may indicate an underlying problem like an infection!.

well, i was just reading a magazine and this is their explanation!.

It's the sticky stuff that comes out of your vagina after puberty!. It helps to keep your vagina healthy and fights infections!. It's also a natural lubrication!. It should be creamy white and smell musky!. Between periods it can be clear and stringy, and at each end of a period it may be stained brown with blood!. If it is green and frothy, itchy white and lumpy or strong and fishy smelling, see your doctor!.
